Ad Terms
Last updated: 30 October 2026
These terms cover buying a local ad on Orderdale. By paying for an ad you agree to them, on behalf of the business the ad is for.
1. Who sells the ad
Ads are sold by Easetra Inc., a corporation incorporated in Ontario, Canada, which runs Orderdale (“we”). You buy for a business, not for personal use.
2. What you buy
A slot, one month at a time, in one area and one place: the store pages of the free-plan stores there, or those sellers' dashboards. An area is a metro area, a part of one, the rest of a province, or online stores across Canada; each store belongs to one, by its postal code. Each area has a few slots in each place, and the ads in it take turns equally; an ad for a whole metro takes a slot in each of its parts.
We promise the time your ad runs, not a number of views or clicks. The views shown when you buy are an estimate from the last 30 days. Stores join, leave and change plans, so the stores that show your ad change too.
3. Review
A person looks at every ad, and every change to one, before it shows — usually within one business day. We may decline an ad or a change that breaks section 4, or that we believe would harm our sellers or their customers. If we decline a new ad, we cancel it and refund the payment in full; a declined change leaves the ad that was running.
4. What may not be advertised
Your ad, and the page it links to, may not offer or promote:
- Anything illegal where the ad shows, or that needs a licence or permit you don't hold.
- Anything a store on Orderdale may not sell (Terms of Service, section 7).
- Cannabis, tobacco or vaping products, alcohol, gambling, weapons, adult content, payday loans, cryptocurrency, or get-rich-quick and multi-level schemes.
- Political candidates, parties or causes.
- Claims that mislead about price, origin, results or health, or that aren't backed by evidence.
- Anything that imitates a seller, Orderdale or anyone else, or that asks people to sign in, pay or give personal information on a page that isn't plainly yours.
- A link that downloads a file, or leads anywhere other than your own business's page.
5. Your ad is yours to answer for
You are responsible for your ad and the page it links to: they must be true, yours to use — words, pictures, names and trademarks — and lawful, including under Canada's Competition Act and consumer protection laws. You let us show, resize and crop your ad and its picture to run it.
We may take down a running ad that breaks these terms, or whose link comes to break them; we refund the unused days unless the ad or its link broke them.
6. Payment
Ads are billed monthly in advance, in Canadian dollars, by card through Stripe, from the day you pay. An area's price for new buyers can change each month. We may change the price of a running ad by emailing you at least 30 days before; the new price applies from your next payment after that notice, and if you stop the ad before then you are never charged it.
Prices are before tax. Once we charge sales tax, it is added at checkout from your billing address.
If a payment fails, the ad stops showing until it is paid. Stripe tries again for a while; if it still isn't paid, the ad ends.
7. Stopping
You can stop at any time from your ad's page: it runs to the end of the month already paid and isn't charged again. We don't refund part of a month except where these terms say so.
We may stop selling ads in an area or a place, change how areas are drawn, or change how ads look or where they sit, with 30 days' notice by email to the advertisers running there. If we end your ad early, we refund the unused days.
8. Reports and privacy
Your ad's report shows views and clicks by month, day and area — never which store showed it or anything about who looked. A view counts once half the ad has been on screen; a click, when the ad is opened from our pages.
We keep the email, business name and payment records you give us to run your ad, bill you and keep the records the law asks for; Stripe handles your card. Our Privacy Policy says more.
9. Everything else
Where these terms don't say otherwise, our Terms of Service apply to ads too — including how our liability is limited and which laws apply. Our liability for an ad is limited to what you paid for it in the three months before the claim.
We may update these terms; the date at the top changes with them, and the version in force when a month begins applies to that month.
